Weekly Update - Mar. 7th

Make sure to check out the rehearsal schedule on the schedule page for what songs we will be rehearsing this month. I have added the vocal only tracks to help you in your practice at home. The vocal only tracks are only on the schedule page for the time being. I will need to do some more serious renovation to the music resource page to include them there. These tracks have only the vocals, a tempo click track to help you count, and some cues to help you stay on track. Hope these are helpful for you guys.

Steadfast Music Web App

I have made a big update to our website. I have configured it to allow you to properly add it to your mobile device just as you would any other app. Depending on whether you are on and android or iOS device, you may need to do a few extra steps to get it setup. Simply elect the your device below for instructions to install the web app.

I have also setup push notifications. So make sure to enable those when you receive the prompt so you will be notified of future updates on the website.

iOS (iPhone, iPad) Instructions

Step 1.

Open Safari (or your preferred web browser) on your iPhone or iPad.

Step 2.

Tap the Share button (the box with an arrow coming out of it).

Step 3.

Select "Add to Home Screen" from the menu that appears.

Step 4.

Tap "Add" to confirm and add the web app to your home screen.

Close

Android Instructions

Step 1.

Open Chrome (or your preferred web browser) on your Android device.

Step 2.

Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the browser window.

Step 3.

Select "Add to Home Screen" from the menu that appears.

Step 4.

Tap "Add" to confirm and add the web app to your home screen.

Important Note:

You should find the web app icon in your list of installed apps. You may have to manually move it to the home screen if it doesn't appear there automatically.

Weekly Update - Feb. 19th

You guys sounded great Wednesday night for the Ash Wednesday Service. Just few minor mistakes, but it wasn't anything that the congregation would have been able to notice. Keep up the great work! We wil be singing this song again Sunday morning, so keep practicing! We will meet at 10:15 AM to go through it before the service.

Practice at 3:00 pm Sunday Afternoon. I will have the March anthems, Hide Me (Mar. 8th) and When You Speak to Me (Mar. 22nd) sheet music printed and ready for you. We will focus on Hide Me, and the next song for the Easter Cantata, O the Blood of Jesus.

Nothing But the Blood - Song Devotional

This morning I just finished listening to yesterdays "Sing" devotion with the song "Nothing But the Blood." Sing is a daily devotion prouced by The Worship Initiative. The Worship Initiative is a ministry that seeks to Equippe and encourage worship teams as they sing the truth of God’s word and glorify Christ. THey created "Sing" as another means of forwarding this mission. Every weekday they sit down and have a time of prayer, devotion and worship, focusing on one song each day.

Friday's devotion was on the song "Nothing But the Blood" by The Worship Initiative. The devotion focused on how this song reminds us of the sacrifice of Christ and how we are saved by His grace alone. Even though we try to turn to things that seem to satisfy us for a moment, we are reminded that only the blood of Christ can wash away sin. "This is all our hope and peace. Nothing But the Blood of Jesus."

I wanted to encourage you guys to try out Sing. I may not listen to it every day, but the ones I have listened to have been incredible. Sometimes they chose an old hymn, sometimes its an original contemporary song. But the devotions are always simple acoustic, so no drums and electric guitars. Just piano, acoustic guitar and focusing on God's presence in our lives.

Weekly Update - Feb 8th

Hey guys! This Sunday (Feb 8th) we will be singing "I Will Sing Praise" as the anthem, and "A Blessing" as the choral benediction. Please make sure to practice them and be ready for Sunday!

Last week I handed out the easter cantata books, "The Way, the Truth, the Life," by Dennis and Nan Allen. I have gotten the music disc from Bill and have uploaded eveything to site. You can find the music here on the cantata page. We will begin working on one song each week for now, then as it draws closer, we will begin focusing on the whole.

Becoming an effective worship leader requires developing several key characteristics. Here are the seven essential traits every worship leader should strive for:
